Medical Student Clerkship Information
Medical students are welcome to spend 4 weeks at our residency program. Previous students have taken the opportunity to see patients in the Mercy Family Health Center , work with the Medicine team in the hospital, participate in community outreach activities such as high school pre-participation physical exams and taking call with the residents at night.
A clerkship is not a prerequisite for acceptance into the residency program. It is recommended for any student who wants to experience the role of a family doctor in a community practice setting.
Four week rotations are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis. To be eligible, the student must be currently enrolled in a medical school listed by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC ) or American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine ( AACOM ).
