Vincent Lo, MD, FAAFP Faculty
Physician |
When I graduated from my medical school at the University of Hong Kong in 1979, I chose Family
Medicine as my career because Family Medicine training allows me to
offer a broad scope of medical services to my patients. After residency,
I had a vibrant and rewarding solo practice in a small town at Upstate
New York and I practiced full scope of family medicine. While building
my practice, I served as a community preceptor and an in-patient
attending in my former residency program. I love teaching and the
challenge of working with residents. In 2001, I made a career change and
became a full-time teaching faculty and the associate program director
of my residency program. Besides teaching and providing clinical
services, being a full-time faculty, I had the opportunity to explore
and develop my interest in research and medical writing. In 2005, I
relocated to Northern California where I completed my undergraduate
study at UC Davis. I joined the San Joaquin Family Medicine Residency
until end of 2010. Currently, I am delighted to be part of the
Mercy-Methodist Family Medicine Residency. Besides working, I am
interested in church and community services. I love playing tennis and
cooking with my wife. |
