Welcome to the new YSPN website!
This site is designed to be a resource for those who are interested
in youth development. Throughout the pages on this website, you will
find resources, materials, trainings, events, and activities which support
creating quality environments for youth and promoting policy and advocacy
for youth. Through this website we will also disseminate valuable information
that supports individuals, organizations and communities in strengthening
their programs and organizations.
We hope you enjoy the new web site and find the information you are
looking for quickly and easily.

Youth Development 101 Workshop
Individual registration forms are now being accepted for this introductory
two-day workshop that examines assets, youth development and resiliency
research; explores the shift in beliefs that are needed to move forward
with this approach and helps participants learn how they can integrate
this work into their programs, classes and agencies. This intensive
two-day workshop introduces and offers insight on the 5 “supports
and opportunities” of the Youth Development Framework for Practice:
Safety, Relationship Building, Youth Participations, Skill Building
and Community Involvement.

Sacramento Youth Leadership Program (SYLP) --
Leadership Training & Camp Recruitment Event:
July 14, 2007 -- 10:00am to 2:00pm
This event provides an oriention for the SYLP camp scheduled for October
4-7 near Lake TAhoe. The training and camp are free and offeres a leadership
program run by youth for youth! An opportunity for emerging youth leaders
wha are new to formal leadership training who would not normally get
a chance at a leadership program experience.
